Sunset Poem by L.J. Valente

Sunset

Rating: 5.0

Just up the road a ways
is where I spend my days
a quiet place, cool and out of the sun
always good for a laugh and a little fun
It is just good for my soul
where it was I came in from the cold
the end of all the miles
funnily enough where I found my smile
Maybe not heaven sent
but more than pleasant
for some time it's where I've been
and days there I'm seen
Never will I regret
a single second spent
you've gotta give what you get
so it is, Hello, welcome to Sunset
