Sunshine Poem by Sam Burton

Sunshine

Rating: 5.0

Sunshine
Rose petals on the floor
Candle Light
Picture frames on the door
Heavens coming
I can see it streaming in your shape
and hidden beneath
the curious attraction of a face
I can't define exactly
what comes over me
a sudden presence of a force
bigger than me
leaves me helpless like a child
keeps me craving for your smile
I want to dive into the depths of your soul
Explore both the goodness and the hidden flaws
Know your reasons, your change of seasons, your main cause
because its some kind of star I see in the slight tilt of your head
I'm dying and hanging on every word you've said
I just want to dwell forever in your presence
Just for that sunshine I see streaming in

Well put, Sam. I know that feeling well.
