Sunshine Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Sunshine

While you were gone, you were sadly missed
I occupied my time…with a keep busy list
After three days of enduring cold and rain
You slowly reappeared...I smiled once again

Your warmth dispersed the clouds of gray
In your embrace I felt revived… please stay
I want to take a walk and enjoy your presence
Before the darkness steals away your essence

Try to remember where I live… don't stay away
Will I see you tomorrow…at the break of day
When I wake I'll expect to see your familiar face
I'll have a fresh pot of coffee brewing… just in case
