Supposed To Be Poem by Randy McClave

Supposed To Be

There will always be a pain
From which no one can depart,
When we feel not with the brain
But, instead we feel with the heart.

We look around and about us
And then we think is this where God has led,
Then the worries comes thus
Then we think, should we be somewhere else instead.

We always look at where we stand
And we forget where we had once stood before,
Maybe then we will understand
That again we had opened the wrong door.

From one life we did escape
To another life we then quickly re-enter in,
Then we return to lies and a false landscape
Then, sadly we are trapped once again.

Should I really be here
Feeling depressed and listening to more lies,
I remember being happier over there
Where I felt content and wise.

Our souls will always ache
And our thoughts will not be free
In tears at night we will wake
When we are not were we supposed to be.
