Supreme Moon Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Supreme Moon

Supreme moon

Super moon is full moon and below horizon
What a pain!

She is great; I love her; go against my mother
She tells me: 'Moon is man and the sun is sister! '

I ask why, she replies: 'They had a baby fight,
The sister used her nail damaging the sun's eye! '

But I have travelled; quite lot
Everywhere and mostly in Andes
Sun is King and the Moon his queen.

Therefore I…with all the due respects
To my Mom…call moon 'her'!

On crest of bridge saw 'Super'
Was great as it was in childhood
Round, blue and on it white designs
So lovely as were girls of Qajar!

Parked my car on safe side
Grabbed my camera, ran upward.

Yet I failed because of camera
Being poor camera is like me; impotent! ! !

Clever, curious are my eyes
They see girls walk; stop
See their curves and makeups
Saw The-Moon-Aphrodite! ! !

I am told that she comes in decades
Will I live long enough to see her?
