Surfeit Of Hows

How clever John Taylor's 'On Coryat's Crudities' is,
How as cleverly construed - it is
As Tom Coryat's 'Coryat's Crudities' is;
How as well together as floorboards fit
Fit its bits,
Bits as ill-hued as the fleshy bits of Tom;
How he teases us with how lewd - it is
How, for that, how fit to be subdued - it is
How this, how that, how chewed - it is
How widespread spewed - it is
How now in hindsight, how viewed - it is
How all agree how rude - it is
How full of folly imbued - it is
How by fools pursued - it is
How nevertheless how full of pulchritude - it is
How as sweet as gall is bitter - it is

How wisely he concludes,
How he ends before it fizzes,
How he sees we've had enough -udes,
How a surfeit of - it is-es.
