Surreal Reality Poem by Logan Fulk

Surreal Reality

Remorse and regret are things we feel
Anger and rage are things we conceal
The shadow of doubt runs around loose
To some no better than a hanging noose

A crashing waterfall of questions
With vague answers in its wake
The waves of why that swallow the shores
The bad thoughts we cannot shake

This paranormal world awaits us
Its endless wonder comes and baits us
To find our truths and erase our lies
Surrender all of our wrongs to the skies
And challenge us to sail the seven seas
And bring down all the storms to their knees

The water of lives flows into the sea
The icicle knives that hang from the trees
The fires that burn in the hearts of us all
A raging inferno that’s 10 feet tall

The burdens we bear, The hopes we share
Without a care we stride
The dreams we snare, the lives we spare
We all live side by side
