Surrounded But Alone Poem by Jason Campbell

Surrounded But Alone

My view on life, this is how it stands...
It can be easy and it can be hard.
You may get what you want,
The grades, the job, the promotion.
But not what you need,
Something to calm the screams, to fill the void.
And even though you're surrounded by people,
Him, her, those two over there,
Is often when you feel the most alone.
