rage boiling from within
screams of the beast
block out all other sounds
trapped in the cage
locked in the darkness
surrounded by the beast
no way out
no escape
I try to calm
what is raging within me
but the beast outsides
calls to it
it wants it to come out and play
never allowing it to reach a calm
I sit there and fight
I will not let it win
I will not give it control
I lay here in the cage
locked in tight
the screams raging outside
the hatred raging within me
I lay here shaking
from the war that is being fought within
