Survivor Poem by Paulo Acosta

Survivor

Rating: 4.0

I survived an Intimation of Mortality,
An Imitation of Grave Formality,
An Encounter- His Face to my face-
And yet I live, grazed by Grace,
Charged to unquestioning Courage,
To absolute Faith without umbrage,
To heed, to yield, to be at peace,
To let The Master finesse His piece.
