Sweet As Love - Poem by Casey A Geiger
Wretched people make my heart skip,
Place me upon your perfect trip,
Take me away from all this shit,
Place me in shoes so tight to fit,
My ragged feet so lame and broad,
Feel restless, ranky, all at odds,
Some sins to keep, some sins to hide,
Take your pick to build your pride.
Set rest upon these bones that creek,
Ran raging down a drenching street,
Fell from the sky back to my feet,
A bird like beauty fell so sweet,
(A fast embrace with earth did meet)
All left to see is gross bird blood,
Made from waves of graces, sweet as love.
