Sweet Hearts Poem by Moth Harris

Sweet Hearts

Quiet days float over this place.
I had a a sweet heart,
but sugar gets washed away,
dissolved and torn apart.

The sky is still blue, but the clouds are still grey.
What's it to you, you could've stayed?
But I will say it too, I'm much happier this way.
If only you knew, the life you portray.

I'll never be sorry, never again
I'll never apologize for way back when
I'll never lie to you or pretend
That I miss you, or that you're my friend.

You were once a sweet heart dropped in the water,
You were the love of my life, somebodies daughter,
You dried up and dissolved away
Me, I'm surprised that it's better this way.
For once I'm the happy one at the end of the day.
