Sweet Old Memory Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Sweet Old Memory

Listening to love songs trying to mend a broken heart
Only provoke sleeping memories that are missed the most
Especially, when you loved and still love that someone.

Tears of a broken soul
When lust betrayed all charms
Bending to break every promise made,
They are lullabies of what a heart misses the most
And the pain is unbearable and unbelievable
For it's a position the heart never imagined
When those promises were made

Sweet old memory
A pain to heart's misery
For it's where it yearns to be
Sweet old memory
A titan lost by thoughts
And they die to bring it back

Sweet old memory
An affair of the heart
Turned a sorrow of this new moment
Now it fights to regain this prodigal son
