I once hopped on board a showboat,
Rode down the mighty Mississipp.
I partied hearty while afloat.
No round of free drinks did I skip.
In the showboat's main ballroom hung
A huge and fancy chandelier.
I climbed up, grabbed it, and then swung,
Bottle in hand, with Tarzan cheer.
That chandelier did take a toll.
Into the river it did fall,
Leaving behind a gaping hole.
But rescuers rescued us all.
I got tossed into jail still drunk,
Blamed for the fact that showboat sunk.
