Symbol Of Sept.11 Poem by Daniel Miltz

Symbol Of Sept.11

O' the September 11th day
Seems like a far yesterday
But with all earnest
Like, such a long away time

Remember! Everyone explained
From now on, everything, will be changed
It's true—many things different
Hearts, minds of Americans have

Of that, there is no doubt
Or is 9-11, just one more scarecrow
Of war, and its sordid legacyt
To stomp out our freedoms foes

Ah' my generation, grew up, in the shadow
Of a menacing mushroom shaped cloud ha·lo
An ominous reminder of the destructive power fiasco
Unleashed at the end of a world war

Another generation is growing up today
With another captivating image
The image of crumbling Twin Towers
The symbol of the Sept.11th day
