On the vast landscape of the sky
Like a thousand clouds swim together,
Grey or white, some black in layers,
Moving or rushing on shoulders of wind
In shapes and forms changing with time
Of dimensions beyond to comprehend,
I see events roll all over my life,
Like sea waves in up and down swing;
Some in hurry, some, casually recede,
Some sweep over and swallow all on path,
Some in high tides, some, low, at times,
All over the year, and year after year,
Rolled through childhood, and adulthood,
How long should it roll, I myself know not.
All are accidental,
Oriental, occidental;
Some prise like a clutch,
Or spell like a witch;
Some let down to ditch,
Or harass like a bitch;
Or raise to high heaven,
All of sudden enthrone
With glittering crown;
This is life's true state,
What most call as fate.
Life is not still and deep like the blue sky
With peace and quietude spread all over there
With cuckoos singing sweet in flight over there
Or peacocks spreading wings of bright shades
To sweeten ambience of the life's experience;
Life is do or die, a challenge of grit and might
To take on the tides those hit the sea-coast
To the hinterland to irrigate vast lands;
Come whatever may in life, nature's sweet gift,
Life, a music, a sweet pitch of rise and fall,
A divine sweet tune nature plays at leisure;
Nature plays, life hears, dances to the tune,
What a great skill, what symphony at display!
Life is just a tool playing on the stage,
Let us witness that standing away from the self.
