My heart is close to giving up,
My lungs struggle to take breath,
I know I need you, just like oxygen is needed
I don’t know what to do
My brain has taken leave
Soon I think the rest of the organs may decide to run away too
Come to me before I die
Hold me in your arms and breathe for me
Let your breath be my last

my heart begins beating anew
my blood flowing with joy
love and hope uplifts
your love keeps me strong
your will makes me live
your arms hold me up
on to your strong shoulder i will hold
resting my head on your chest
the rhythmic beating of your heart
will make mine synchronize to its beat
your even and light breathing
makes mine easier
my breath follows yours
forever may it be
this bond of life to hold us
