You and I each noticed the other
because of silly words
and witty banter
displayed in a chat room
goofy jokes
that no one else seemed to get
quick wit
making for quick friends
first impressions
common expressions
typed in sync
creating bemusement
followed by amazement
at how much alike we
really do seem to be
which inevitably gave way
to deeper connections
You and I realized
though from different places
we seemed to be ready
to travel a common road
So we set out to see
if the silly jokes
were just as funny
when whispered
in person
and would there be
real passion
reaching in sync
sweet spots we touched
and the silly words
turned out to be
just as sweet
when poured out
in horizontal positions
You and I learned
silly words paved the way
for sharing of secrets
revealing all sorrows
recapturing dreams
two children at play
daring to trust
gaining entrance
to places
where there are no words
left afraid to be spoken
where adult children with hurts
could find healing
through silly words
spoken with love
always bemused
but no longer amazed
when words are in sync
or not needed at all

This is lovely! Not sure if it's a fictitious poem from the recesses of your imagination or if it's based on a real experience, but if it's true, then Lucky you!
