We cannot always see our brother's heart
And have perception only partially.
We weep for what of love mankind has shown;
Also for that which we have never seen.
We weep for freedoms we no longer sense;
The things we do not know how we have lost.
That spirit deep inside longs to be free~
It has no voice, no way to show itself
Yet clearly might be seen by every man.
Sad secrets biding deep in hearts of pain
Their private thoughts kept silently anon
And lives that, burdened down with all of theirs,
Cannot reach out nor even understand
This need. How can such secrets be unveiled?
The understanding we perhaps could give
Must silent be in unknown paths as these.
Those hesitations only recompensed
By speed of light, of understanding how
Held in the gifted minds of they who know-
Those buried secrets we can never find,
But only hope that they in future show
And all will come to understand in time.
'We weep for what of love mankind has shown; Also for that which we have never seen. We weep for freedoms we no longer sense; The things we do not know how we have lost.' These lines really make sense and are presented so nicely.
the complexity of life..indeed has made......some of us........synchronized.....into the wrong paths.........but what the heck.........the show must go on..... Best Regards, Sulaiman mohd Yusof
An eloquent, compassionate write. I believe it had its genesis in a very caring heart. Beautiful, Kate. Warmest regards, Sandra

Kate, Another one of your beautiful poems...so heart felt...you bring truth to the words of Pope who said 'Truth shines the brighter clad in verse.' 10! Dorothy
