Take Heart Poem by Godfrey Machuka

Take Heart

Rating: 5.0

When your night prolongs
And your sun glows dim
When to you it rains hailstones
And life blows like a tornado
Take heart.

When the buds of your life fail to unfold
Yawns of insufficiency and strife untold
Travelling through nothingness
The horizon of your ambition blurs
Take heart.

When the world without watches you
Sink into misery and it reciprocates in applause
Afford fortitude and reject despair
When it rewards you with affliction
Count it pure joy
For faith is refined in adversity
Take heart.

When your strength fails you
And the end of your tunnel gets out of sight
Silently and faithfully say a prayer;
For God so loved the world
That He gave His only beggoten Son
That whosoever believes in Him
Shall not perish but have eternal life
Take heart.

When patience is subtituted for hopelessness
Storms of life are mere strokes of discipline
For tribulation is often an essence
Lest you live untrained
Bear the pain because very soon
You'll sublime into blissful raptures
Take heart.
