Golden sunny afternoon
Running through the grassy fields
Nothing chaining me down
Days like this, I feel free
Just makes it all the easier to believe
The flowers have sprung up from the ground
Today, all around has given me so many feelings and emotions to feel

I somehow yearn for all the happiness to take me away
Take me away to the friendly skies
Take me away to the beautiful meadows
Where the rain makes everything grow
Grow and blossom before my very eyes

Days like this don't come along too often
So I'll enjoy the simple things and blessings that have come my way today
The clouds have parted ways
Sunlight shoots through to give down where I am a nice feeling

It's wonderful today
And I'm ready for a love to take me away
I'm ready for her to take me away
I'm just ready for the wonders of life to take me away
