If you told me tomorrow
That you and I are through
I would simply walk away
Not knowing what to do

I'd have to find my own way
Just like I have before
Would I find myself another
I could not say for sure

You see, when a heart is broken
It needs some time to heal
It needs to take a nice long rest
So it can learn again to feel

So why rush into something
When your fragile and vulnerable
One should take some time off knowing
Down the road love is recoverable
