take time out to look at nature
to see the flowers, the birds and the bees
take time out to smell the fresh air
and see the squirrel playing in the trees

take time out to say you love your family
a hug, a kiss, a kind word as well
take time out to listen to your parents
to lend an ear, to hear what they have to tell

take time out to smile at strangers
and see them glow from head to toe
take time out to say 'good day'
and your pearly whites you can show

take time out to play in the rain
to splash mud puddles and run free
take time out to be a child again
and happiness in your life you'll see
