Tala - Poem by Francis Baldivino

Isa kang marikit na bituin
Na nakakubli sa abong ulap
Iyong ningning ay tanging liwanag
Sa aking madilim na daigdig

Kislap na yung hatid sa tuwina
Napangiti sa labis na tuwa
Mamasdan ka sa gabing payapa
Damdaming maligalig, sasaya

Ang aking lumbay at kalungkutan
Napalitan ng kaligayahan, Sinta!
Sana ika'y magdamag mamasdan
Pusong sugatan, muling sisigla

Di man magpakita haring buwan
Maghintay man ako sa magdamag
Andyan ka naman sa kalangitan
Handang magbigay ng yung liwanag

Sana walang darating na bagyo
Di na matatanaw iyong kislap
Aagos luha sa gintong gabi
Pag di masulyapan ang yung ganda

Masasabik pagsapit ng umaga
Di na masilayan ang bituin
Paglubog ng araw, hihintayin
Muli kang mamasdan at makita
