Tale Of Two Trees Poem by Vinaya Joseph

Tale Of Two Trees

Two trees stand tall,
The Neem and Sandalwood,
They vie,
With roots and branches reaching high.

The Neem,
A healer's friend with bark so strong,
Its health gifts,
A lifelong song.

It soothes and mends,
Its essence in the air ascends.
Its shade provides a gentle calm,
A verdant balm for any qualm.

But the Sandalwood's whispers cling,
A fragrance rare,
It's heartwood-rich,
With a grand design.

It lingers in the temple's grace,
A sacred scent that time can't erase.
Its presence calm,
A treasure in the ages wide.

The Neem, robust and fiercely green,
The Sandalwood with fragrance keen.
Both trees,
In nature's book,
Their names enshrined.

For in my home's deep embrace,
Both find their place, their space.
