Tales Poem by Steven Olugbemi

Tales

My friend! I must tell the tales
Life's but an assorted brevity
breasted with wins and losses

'A child that sells charcoal
shall one day wear white
without stains'
if only he wait, faithful and work
until heavens shines on him

I could tell much more...
human lenses life's struggle.
so...
.
on the road called Success
in the pathway of Life
where obstacles and rough edges
pierces to the marrow
gave way to nothingness.

in the strata of Power
on the foot path of Life
'Kola nut' for crook accession
inhuman to humanity

in lockdown of activities
of populated Life
virus spread, breathe withhold
suck-out lives in life

in the forest of Succession
on the corner stone of Life
banditry and kidnapping
killing and bombing

in the boulevard called Fame
on the staircase of Life
trading digital Forex
gaming and gambling
with precious souls for lucre
