Hue Of Rainbow Poem by Steven Olugbemi

Hue Of Rainbow

For your beauty
splashes upon my dry eye
so I cry out
the tears of the hue of rainbow.

paints, the shades of life
portrait of the wall
there! You are in crimson
passion of vitality, weathered
on the innocence of zest.

so do I pluck orange on the tree
remember how childish I was
that life's but a play ground
Now! I know the cunning devil

stand still like yellow sun
basking in aura of unruly life
'life gives you what she wishes
but you have to demand what you want'

'... not always green. . other side of the river'
so said a wise sage,
yet, 'it's risky not to take risk'
in pursuit of fertility, growth and wealth.

I saw the blue sky; the Unknown
ocean wide and noisy; the Divinity
the Spirit leads and speaks
to maintain silence amidst tides.

In the beginning, man was Creator's creator
named the whole prey and predator
sin crept in, became finite
How! immortality ends earth's infinity.

play me lyre on this violet place
sing the end upon my tale
on this rainbow, I take rest
there! You'll find the essence of hues.
