In the cemetery at dark increasing
The cemeteries closed and still
Seize the time and occasion
How many graves!
So many tales!
Average of one per grave.
Calculate.
In all the cemeteries and the Ages
And in generation behind generation.

Products of births and deaths
Human travail and struggle
And expectation.
Thus tales from cemeteries come
Yet how many to the ears of Man?
Man would be wiser to lend his ear
The wisdom the graves to hear.
As the tales from cemeteries come…
