Talk Is Cheap Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Talk Is Cheap

The words you keep speaking
are just a waste of air.
I do not want to hear it
I do not even care.
I thought you were the one
but there I go thinking again.
You are not that smart
but you can sure pretend.
You told me these promises
but they were just all lies.
You used to make me weak
but it was all just a disguise.
I bought up every word though
maybe one day they will be true.
They say talk is cheap,
but that's okay, so are you.
