Tantrums Of The Spoiled And Inarticulate Poem by Raymond Farrell

Tantrums Of The Spoiled And Inarticulate

Rating: 5.0

Those who do not want
To read
Want to experience
Those who do not want
To learn
Want to feel
The modern disaster
Known as Education
Has accommodated these wishes
With countless events and field trips
At home and abroad
Giving students time away from class
To experience and feel
Without imparting to them
The basics of spelling
Or how to formulate a simple sentence
Let alone a paragraph
And once
All have finally graduated
The result
Is an ever-increasing
Number
Of inarticulate spoiled college students
Whose main form of communication
When disturbed
Is via mass outbreaks of violence
The tantrums of the spoiled
And inarticulate
Products
Of modern education.

It may be to some degree purposeful. Knowledge is power; and so governments, religions corporations and the elite lobby, choose, dictate that education be limited and biased.

A generation of generalisations. Some pockets of truth.++10
