Tea Or Coffee? Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Tea Or Coffee?

Rating: 5.0

Have always had that same dilemma
To take tea or coffee
The decision had always been very hard
To drink tea or coffee
I woke up in the morning
Feeling sluggish like a water-logged bag
I have got to find something to lift me up
Tea or coffee
Tea is of different shades
Beverages or in bags
There must be plenty water
And sugar
With milk or cream
It could light or very thick brown
Very sweet or not bitter
But sooner or later I will want to sleep
What about coffee?
Black and bitter!
Whether I use sugar, cream or milk
I will always squeeze my face at every sip
After each gulp I feel the heat
It must be taken hot
Then in the evening it makes sleep an uphill task
That can make me want to curse
So is it tea or coffee?
