In my mind at that hour it all made sense
All three halves were present in past tense
One to represent the wee hour of the night
The other in a larger moment was just right
The third grew impatient in having had to wait
At midnight he would set the hour straight
My verse with rhyme and rhythm was so clear
Two ears were more than plentiful to hear
Two eyes side by side is what I recommend
How clear they see may just as well depend
As windows to the soul they will need cleaning
If you intend to glean my profound poetic meaning
The wisest owl wears glasses for one reason
He watches for subtle changes in our seasons
From up above he spies us rushing all about
Hidden from our view in his shadow of a doubt
Reality is often ambiguous. But sometimes truth strikes you at odd hours. That's when your verse has most rhythm and rhyme. Life is really complicated. It takes a lot of wisdom to figure it out. Still there's always a shadow of a doubt. No reality is totally revealed. A thoughtful write.
From the graphic I get that we can see the boat on water surface but can't see the fish underneath. So reality has layers and we can't really see all of it.
