Teach Your Children Poem by Randy McClave

Teach Your Children

Teach your children well
In the end the truth will always prevail,
All people will often undoubtably fell
Teach them that there is a Heaven and a Hell.

Teach your children always the truth
Lies and secrets are kept in an evil booth,
Honestly will always sooth
Teach them this in their youth.

Teach your children not to ever judge
Better alone to resolve than in the mud to trudge,
From truth and facts do not ever budge
Teach them never to hold a grudge.

Teach your children embarrassment should not be aimed
Silence sometimes should be framed,
Everyone has been gifted and named
Teach them of no one to ever be ashamed.

Teach your children not to lie
And to never be afraid to question why,
Better to ask than to ever deny
Teach them that truth is a blissful ally.

Teach your children from day one
That we are kings and queens and not a pawn,
We decide to move and when to continue on
Teach them that none of us is better than anyone.

Teach your children for their own sakes
Life is full of errors and aches,
Raising children brings the greatest stakes
Teach them that all parents make mistakes.

Teach your children as you preach
That sins and mistakes can't be removed with bleach
Do not ever be a con or a leech
Teach them that no dreams or stars are ever out of reach.

Teach!
