Teams Poem by Paul Warren

Teams

The sun glistened silver on the sea
As we rode with the sun on our backs in our duty
Just the noise of the wind in the background
The road rolling on in new adventures bound

The hard times were shared to make a difference
And to talk each other through in each new circumstance
So we developed a feeling of togetherness
In what we do and live for it all to make sense

We were a team when I was riding with you
So proud together wearing the blue
Sometimes when it was quiet in the night time
Our life philosophies were exchanged just fine

So now I look back on those memories
Of those days we'd thought were forever free
And pride in each other came easily
For when I close my eyes it's those days I see it all set free.
