One tear

For you my dear

Floodgates open

For your love

Or at least

The idea of it

Like light

From a candle lit

I put up a fight

But like a sun

Setting in the east

An empty gun

Won't kill a fleeting dove

Now and again

The sadness in my heart

Eclipses my yearning

To be a part

Of the light burning

In your soul

One and only coal

Spark in a fire's forest

I angst to give to you my best...
