Tears Poem by megan selepe

Tears

TEARS
Sometimes they seem to be the only thing that is real,
Whipping them does indicate their continuity,
As they gently fall from the mountains separated by two holes.

Tears, they complete me - make me feel whole,
The symbol of my existance, the realisation of my emotions.
Sometimes the brain and the body disconnect, acting antagonistically
But the brain manufactures all kinds of thoughts, thoughts to begin, thoughts to end.

Tears, they suddenly connect the body and the brain as emotions sets in;
When a dropp falls, it is accompanied by thousand thoughts, meanwhile generating more drops.
the emotionless of a statue seems more attractive, bears no pain.
Maybe being a statue is plausible but is it valuable? - an individual is said to be of value, is that enough? .
The wetness of the face seems more of value than the connection of the soul.

If tears could be bottled, they could fill the oceans of the pacific.
Life's companion, tears - they may be oF joy or of sorrow.
Still they remind me of my humanness.
