Tears In The Heart Poem by Hebert Logerie

Tears In The Heart

I have tears in my heart
But my eyes aren't crying
Because the pain is excruciating
And hurtful, it's like my fingers
Are cut off and thrown in the trash
My friend was kind and very beautiful
She is now dead. She is no longer with us
I am going to church to kneel
For her and for humanity
My classmate is no longer; she died
Death is sadness
Death is distress
I have tears in my heart
I am the victim of a curse
That no one can avert
I am in pain. I am hurt.
