Tears Never Meant To Be Seen...(Rep.) - Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr (FjR)
Men, strong men have gone to their graves
carrying tears now buried under granite,
no one will ever hear their woe and rue
of passion that had always been present-
in their Heart's, Mind's, in Providence,
the lives these men lived with pride,
because that was their choice to answer-
the calling to be a United States Soldier,
as there are still Heroes among us, yes-
that lay down their love and possessions
to do something that someone must do.
Heroes die silent, their epitaph soft,
tho' much to be said they rather it not,
as their virtue of humble is buried deep
long before they are carried to rest.
