Tears Of An Angel (Verdict Of The Confessor) - Poem by Nontobeko Dlamini
Behold The Confessor!
For the verdict of
Who dared to break the sacred codes of heaven.
Loosing one's self to the
heart's mortal desires.
A crime punishable:
By stripping of the holy wings,
The strength and purity of the heavens,
And the protection of the devine power.
From the confines of heaven,
Bunnished 'til judgement day
Though spared the heavenly musical voice,
The only taste of heaven
And our brethen hood...
'I The Confessor command
And you shall obey!
Haste to where your heart's longing,
To the lady of the forest.
Haste poor creature!
For though shamed
You still ache for love,
Though vulnerable to the claws of evil,
You are strong with the powers of love.
Under that tree she still cries
For lies her heart.
There you shall sing
In your most angelic voice;
To soothe her gnawing pain,
To mend her heart fragmented
By the impact of her untimely lose.
Let her know you're free
From the dangeons of the clouds.
You dont have to steal a kiss from her lips.
Give freely and she'll recieve eagerly.
You dont have to hide
To the very core of her heart you shall trode.
Your feelings you shan't suppress,
But to let them blossom fervently
To the full rose she deserves.
Hand in hand
You shall walk from that tree,
Love flourishing from inside out
To the trees and everything that
For they'd have witnessed
The reunion of the strong willed lovers.
Under that rainbow haste,
To give your vows,
To have the sun bless you
With warmth and hapiness
And ullulating will be the birds,
For they'd have witnessed a holly union.
When the sun turns orange,
While the night's still young,
Under the milky sky above,
Where the stars gather round as a family,
From their great grandmother
Listening to the tales of the voyages of the
Moon, round and round the earth she goes.
From there we shall be watching
And you shall dance.
Shooting stars by the thousands
I shall command,
Beaming galantly across the sky
They will obey,
In celebration of your love.
Farewell my brother
