Technology Poem by Bella Lack

Technology

OH! How we used to play in lush fields, so green,
we would have been so very keen.
Then came along, the new CELL PHONE,
thats when we started to grumble and moan
So, now that we are certainly let,
to sit in front of the television set,
Our eyes are turning a funny shape,
our mouths are set in one firm gape.
Our brains are melting, reducing to goo,
Our mouths always chewing chewing chew.
Please may we go back to the good old days,
where we would talk to each other a whole phrase.
We used to play in the vast outside,
we would seek and we would hide.
But now we have the dreaded iPad,
its driving us all insane and mad.
We all HAVE to stop, we all HAVE to listen,
we will watch the early morning grasses glisten.
Don't ever use a cordless phone,
Or to jello will turn every bone.
Our brains will run out of our ears,
out of our eyes will stream the tears.
Now you hopefully you have grasped the point,
that soon we won't be a joint.
We will be glaring at our bright screens,
each of us acting like royal queens.
We will never talk, we will be miserable and sad,
life will result to being horrible and bad.
So just you listen, to this message I'm given,
IF YOU WANT TO KEEP ON LIVING.
