We've learned of gravity, and entropy
studying the universe with astronomy
Our technology has brought prosperity but left us lazy
promoting poverty, misery and disparity with little charity
no peace, or serenity
Ignoring nature's harmony
we have built our armory
and with rapacity promoted calamity
With our audacity we have created a tragedy of insanity
inequity, larceny, and enmity
In our practicality we lacked sagacity
with little hospitality for humanity
unhappily with apathy valuing our phones more than family
and no thought of our posterity or community
With impunity we've lowered our immunity
and ignored nature's force of unity
Until we can give up individuality for empathy of community and society
humanity will remain in its state of barbarity in perpetuity
It's like putting a gun of technology in the hand of a child with no apology
