Teen Tackling! Poem by Meenal Manikantan

Teen Tackling!

Rating: 5.0

I'm the valley, kids the peak
Do they understand what I speak?
Tussle and scuffle fail to work;
Hence into myself let me sulk.

What I do is so abundant
Remains my feeling as a parent!
'Doing' - is that so important?
'Being good' is what sprouts content.

View of children sharp and short
They will need time to sort
Difference that parents-children hold
Even world history has printed bold

All are growing now and then
All - parents, kids, men or women.
Little one shouting as a teen
Not different from an infant scene

Parents can never take it hard
Hands are open, ready to guard,
Seeing kids grow in their space
And emerge out from the maze!

Elders climb the gallery to watch
When they stumble alert to catch!
