Tell The Truth Poem by Narayanan Kutty Pozhath

Tell The Truth

Tell the truth,
Don't tell unpleasant truth.
Tell truth in a pleasant way.
Never tell an untruth.

His Highness
want to know his future.
Astrologer found it bad.
King will die and all his clan
will die before him.
Blunt he is, he told,
Oh, Lord you will die,
But sad, you will cremate
your entire clan before that.
King sent the astrolger
to gallows for telling truth.

His Higness
want to confirm his future.
A great astrolger was brought.
He also found the same future.
But he told it pleasantly.
Oh, Lord you are lucky,
You will outlive all your clan.
Long live the King.

Both astrologers saw
same future for the King.
Both astrologers
predicted the same future.
An unpleasant truth
was told in a pleasant way.
One lost his life,
Other got all wealth.

Tell the truth.
Don't tell unpleasant truth.
Tell truth in a pleasant way.
Never tell an untruth.
