Telling The Truth Poem by Randy McClave

Telling The Truth

No need for a sleuth
If you only tell the truth,
No words for you to remember or regret
No need to worry or ever sweat.
But, when you tell lies
You will always wear a disguise,
Your tongue will then be forked
And your worries torqued.
You must remember every lie you ever told
As it's story will someday unfold,
And then when you die
You will be remembered by every single lie.
No matter how small or minute
Lies to the soul will always pollute,
Then when you want to be honest and speak true
No one will ever believe you.
The father of lies is the Devil
Speaking lies makes him revel,
And when truth instead of lies are spoke
The Devil does choke.
Remember when you are honest and tell the truth
Your words will be in sooth,
A great relief telling the truth will bring
You don't have to ever remember a thing.

So true! Always tell the truth and you don't have to remember how your lies went.
