Tempest Poem by Adelina Amare

Tempest

It is in moments like these
I seek solace from the pen.
These moments when emotions swirl round my head;
A tempest without known end.

Writing it all down puts it to rest,
Yet that will not happen today,
For this complex storm
I cannot form words to explain.

I do not wholly understand it myself,
Yet I know it is not completely sudden.
The clouds have been gathering awhile.
And now wind is howling and rain is flooding.

But that is all I can say.
That is all I know,
yet I cannot put these emotions to rest
Until I let them freely flow.
