Temptation Poem by Richard Jarboe

Temptation

Temptation, got pretty eyes,
Temptation, telling you lies,
Temptation, a siren song,
Temptation, doing you wrong.

Temptation, knocking at the door,
Temptation high heels on the floor,
Temptation kicking them heels,
Temptation, I love the way she feels.

They say temptation ain't a crime,
But it can make a preacher man change his mind.

Temptation, such a pretty dress,
Temptation, making a mess,
Temptation, can't turn away,
Temptation wrecking your day.

They say temptation ain't a crime,
But it can make a preacher man change his mind.

Temptation just around the bend,
Temptation, when will it end?
Temptation, how to atone?
Temptation won't leave you alone.
