Ten To Six In The Morn Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Ten To Six In The Morn

Why can the Nurses not whisper
At ten to six in the morn?
At the Nurses’ Station,
As a New Day dost dawn.

Their ‘End of Shift’ Routine
Is just about to start,
But why must I be subject to loud voices
Before homeward bound they depart?

I have been awake one hour now,
Writing poetry in praise of THEE,
Please let the stress leave me now,
And my Mind become full of glee.

Happy now for the new Life ahead
That for me YOU have planned,
What lies ahead is unknown to me,
YOUR reasons may I understand.

YOU will open my Mind when YOU it suits,
But I understand YOUR reason,
For Mankind must have Faith in YOU,
Season ~ after Season ~ after Season.
