Terence George Craddock Completes A Poem Poem by Terence George Craddock

Terence George Craddock Completes A Poem

where is the draft
for the poem
'Which Words Are Writer Poet Sourced Mined? '
opps there isn't one
each line each stanza altering
in sequences eight line six line stanzas
was written complete without a draft
perhaps it is a Michaelangelo moment?

Michaelangelo claimed to see the statue
within the stone block complete
before the fist chisel blow struck stone
poet has no need of stone clay paint
pigment poet creates complete
from nothing at all except mind thought

rarely are poems seen finished as a complete idea
rather like wool poets spin spin spin words wool
into thread lines poems may be written instant
complete but most are drafts drafts taken written
complete later sometimes even months years later
or abandoned deleted never completed lost lost
in the neverland of thoughts ideas poems never
written never completed is immense time never

allowed opportune time to trace run down most
thoughts multiple thoughts poems conceived all
at once a few to 10 possible poems usually usually
the simplest easiest is was written but why written?
the catch completion of easy lines is more certain
the simple to complex ratio means the simple has

more chance to be written
well fast completed than
conceived complex problematic
hard sought grasped concepts
the simple litters horizons
the complex enigmatic is
more difficult time energy
consuming to take to completion
