Terror In My Dreams - Poem by Kenneth Maswabi
The door closes and my eyes rolls back
Fearful of the approaching darkness
That contains "real life" monsters
Terrible memories
Encapsulated in my psyche
Reborn in my dreams
Terror in my dreams
Sometimes the sun rises high
But yet my dreams persist
Stealing my sanity
Displaying the horrors
The terrible events from the past
Reignited in my tormented mind
Reincarnated in my fragile heart
Terror in my dreams
The moon shines through my window
But all I see is shadows
Shadows of memories from the past
Awakened from their graves
To afflict my sleepless body
With their horrible stories
Post-traumatic stress disorder
The terror in my mind

we sometimes drown in these dreams and they become reality only in our minds disorders (Report) Reply
Extremely vivid and emotional poem, filled with interior terror of things that have happened. That's a nightmare of living in hell for sure. Please keep writing about it and let the world know everything, every thought, feeling, emotion and maybe someone will hear and stop this insanity of the few evil people in this world. There are far more good people like yourself, we need to unite against all of this tyranny. Thank you for sharing once again. RoseAnn (Report) Reply
