Thank God For Kind Hearts Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Thank God For Kind Hearts

Rating: 5.0

The nicest person in the world
Told me herself that 'nobody in the world is kind'
Something like that stays on your mind
Why did she say, she needn't remind

She's a girl who stays in your thought
Sensitive
Fighting so hard
Smiling to hide tears, that pain and hardship brought

I have love for her
At heart, a warm embrace
I'd bend on one knee, in humility
to serve her and wipe a tear from her face

She makes me realize
Others also have it tough
Life can be so cruel
And on the caring..so rough

And it's from a soft place in my heart
I call her my friend
I wish there was more love in me
that I could send

My heart I gave to another
And she's mourning some other
Isn't that the sadness of life
In love, but not with your wife

Touched by others far away
Love is a castaway
That's found and tossed away
Bound to be lost on the sea

And though my heart is overflowing
Love is not meant for me
But I give you the part I can
The part that's given free

I have a heart for you
I hope you know and see
When the world is hard on you
You can come to me

I care enough to hold your hand
To caress you tenderly
And to thank God that I was here
On the day you needed me

You say you will always be there
I find it hard to trust in others
But I somehow believe it's true
I hope also you feel my care for you
